it is February 8th , and it is cold outside. but, of course it is supposed to be cold, it’s February. we love to sit around and bemoan nuclear winter and global warming and then when it actually turns cold — we freak out. or, at least, i do. if it were nice and balmy out there, i would be whining about the environment. why is it we are so eternally dissatisfied? i need to work on that. here is what usually does satisfy, and sometimes, even thrill me. spring. and I find myself looking forward to it as I sit here freezing, freezing, freezing.
